Canned Food Drive...

I noteiced lately that there are a whole bunch of canned-food drives in my area every couple months or so. I also noticed that a few of my friends don't even own a can-openers, which leads me to the thought that not many homeless people have can-openers. Do they?
Let's not mention that canned-food is some of the most difficult food to get into! even when you have a can-opener a lot of time you can lose the edge of the can and have a kind of half opwn can that you can't open all the way. I'm usually in the house with two sides of a can open like this ( ). It's still closed on both sides so ur pretty much screwed!
If Iw as homeless and at a food drive I'd probably ask "Can you guys open mine, and heat it up a little bit??" Seriously what the hell am I gonna do with a can of cream-corn and no tools? Can are TOUGH too! You can't even break a can open with a rock very easliy. This may seem like a small problem, but the canned-food for the homeless events have been oxy-moronic for years. I'd rather donate time to a soup kitchen or something.
This may seem like a pointless rant, but I'm building up to my point. I'm trhowing a can-opener drive to donate 1000 donated can openers to the homeless in the SF Bay Area. I've got 11 can-openers so far. If you have an old manual can-opener that you want to donate, feel free to e-mail me at brotherrasheid@hotmail.com & I'll make sure a homeless guy can eat the food he got from some random food drive....

I'm not sure why people are so afraid of thie swine flu. I'm pretty sure with some good old fashioned hand-washing we would all be fine. God Hygeine = Good Health.
